Edi Gathegi, Laurent from theTwilight Saga, visited Florida Supercon in Miami this past weekend Christina De Nicola had the opportunity to interview him. He mentions Rob in the interivew.
TMH: Just to wrap it up, everyone loves Robert Pattinson now. [takes out a Cedric Diggory shirt] This was him in Harry Potter.
Edi: Wow, he looks the same.
TMH: Just a little bit younger.
Edi: Just a little younger, but he looks the same. It’s so funny man. It’s so funny how when the cast list came out, there was all that controversy. They hated him. How huge he is now. I just love it. I love how no matter what people are saying, you can always persevere and then you can reinvent yourself. You can actually get back on track like Robert Downey, Jr. I just love how Robert Pattinson…it’s funny because we all as a cast were like, ‘dude, you are so perfect for this, you’re so amazing!’ And he was a little like, ‘oh, but I’m not. They’re saying I’m not.’ Look now!

Fans will have to wait until the November release of New Moon, the sequel to hit vampire movie Twilight, to find out what happens to characters played by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
The clouds are low, the sky is grey and moody. It’s a perfect day for the vampires to come out — or at least the cast and crew of New Moon, the follow-up to last year’s hit film Twilight.
Young fans surrounding Burnaby Park in Vancouver are the borderline between the real world and the one conjured up by Stephenie Meyer, author of the popular Twilight book series.
Within the lush emerald landscape, Hollywood is hard at work. While caterers are preparing snacks and warm drinks for the 80 teenage extras, director Chris Weitz is preparing to film the first sequence of the day. “Action!” he finally yells, and another long day of shooting begins.

Larry Carroll gives us a peek at the other lines that could have made it into the film instead.
VENICE, California — In the time since it was first revealed by MTV last year, it has gone on to become one of the most famous lines in the “Twilight” world.
“You’d better hold on tight, spider monkey.”
And while an actual spider monkey isn’t nearly as cute as Kristen Stewart, the phrase has taken on a life of its own, inspiring MySpace pages, T-shirts, and dozens of other fan tributes. Now, “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke is cluing fans in on the eight other lines that nearly became Robert Pattinson dialogue in that “spider monkey” scene

Robert Pattinson as a Gangster… I don’t know about that one.
Harvey Weinstein has been talking. He does that a lot, but this particular chatter is interesting to many of you readers because it concerns one Robert Pattinson. It seems everything Rob touches turns to gold. I think he is the answer to boost the economy, how about you?
Robert Pattinson just may be the best thing that happened to awards shows since Billy Crystal.
With Pattinson and his Twilight mates heaped with buckets of ceremonial popcorn at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards, the show, which also featured the debut of teaser trailer for the vampire gang’s upcoming New Moon, scored a whopping 76 percent more viewers than last year.
Its average audience of 5.3 million was the show’s biggest since 2004.

Feedback from the Cannes Film Festival. Buyers on the Croisette were decisive — and surprisingly plentiful — for international sales companies with solid projects.
The biggest independent hit of the last year — Summit Entertainment’s Twilight — was still the talk of the town and Summit International did a roaring trade on the sequel, New Moon, which is being directed by Chris Weitz. Summit buyers gave two rounds of applause at a reception on Tuesday last week when footage from the new film was screened. And in a climate where many buyers are trying to renegotiate existing contracts or delay payment, Summit’s franchise keeps its buyers on their toes, the tacit understanding being that you need to pay up or you might not get the first or second sequel.

CTV.ca spoke with Matthew McNulty and had some new details for us on Rob’s performance.
Pattinson was up to a nude scene, but just barely
With Pattinson’s milky skin and big, saucer eyes, it’s easy to understand why producers cast him as García Lorca’s love interest.
In his YouTube’d nude scene, Pattinson poses with clothes before a mirror with a zeal that would impress “Sex and the City’s” Carrie Bradshaw.
As he tries to find a look to suit his new Spanish rat pack, Dalí covers his genitals and ponders his nakedness. In that instant Dalí’s confusion about his budding sexuality becomes apparent.
“That scene was really tough for Robert to do. He wasn’t feeling well at all,” says McNulty.
“Every time the cameras stopped Robert was running to the bathroom to throw up. It made me feel better,” laughs McNulty, who felt intimidated by Pattinson after seeing him in 2005′s “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.”
Pattinson’s portrayal of Hogwarts’ heartthrob Cedric Diggory earned the title of British Star of Tomorrow from the Times Online.
Countless comparisons to a youthful Jude Law quickly followed.
As says McNulty jokes, “Seeing Robert vomit all over the place made him much more human to me.”
