Knoxville Premiere New Moon Details

by Jen on September 14, 2009

Looks like the Knoxville Premiere of New Moon will not include Rob. Here are the details provided by the Knoxville Times. Remember, the LA Premiere will be held November 16, 2009

Bella and her would-be new beau — or at least the actors who play them — will come to Knoxville for the premiere of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Regal Cinemas’ Pinnacle 18 at Turkey Creek.

Kristen Stewart, who stars as Bella Swan in both “New Moon” and the film series’ 2008 breakout first release, “Twilight,” will be accompanied in Knoxville by actor Taylor Lautner, whose werewolf Jacob Black was a secondary character in the first film, though his deepening relationship with Bella catapults him into a lead role in “New Moon

More Edward, that is what I want to hear. Nothing against Jacob, no not really. Of course, I’m Team Edward all the way.

Preview hit theaters before ‘Sorority Row,’ but extended version will premiere at Sunday’s VMAs.

Fans asked and Summit Entertainment has delivered. The second full-length “New Moon” trailer contains everything the first teaser trailer and the “Meet Jacob Black” trailer have not: more Volturi, more werewolves and more visions of Edward. The newest trailer is being shown before screenings of “Sorority Row” (out today), but an extended version will also be exclusively shown at the VMAs on Sunday, presented by Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

Rob in a Music Video, I could live with that… Let’s see what happens.

According the MTV Bassist Nick Harmer admits Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner would make ‘Meet Me on the Equinox’ clip more ‘popular.’

At first glance, Death Cab for Cutie might seem like an odd choice to write the first single from the upcoming “New Moon” soundtrack.

After all, unlike Paramore — whose “Decode” kicked off the ultra-successful “Twilight” soundtrack — none of the guys in Death Cab are “Twilight” obsessives. But before you judge too harshly, consider DCFC bassist Nick Harmer: He’s been to Forks, Washington — the sleepy town author Stephenie Meyer set the “Twilight” saga in — and he’s been there for fun.

Prepare to be scared.

In New Moon, the second installment in Stephenie Meyer’s wildly popular Twilight saga, readers are first introduced to the ancient ruling class of vampires known as the Volturi. Determined to capture their creepy menace for his screen version opening Nov. 20, New Moon director Chris Weitz has given them custom-crafted blood-red eyes.

“They’re all hand-painted, specially manufactured contacts,” Weitz tells PEOPLE. “They’re opaque red, almost like preying mantis eyes. You can’t really see into them. There’s something terribly off-putting about it.”

Okay, we may have to disagree with this… Nothing against Taylor, but we miss Rob. ‘We’ve got a nice dose of Taylor [Lautner] to sweeten any Rob deficiencies,’ Chris Weitz tells MTV News.

SAN DIEGO — It’s hard to imagine a fall movie we’re more excited to see than “New Moon,” the feverishly anticipated sequel to last year’s “Twilight” and, technically, the prequel to next year’s “Eclipse.” You know the players, you know the plot details, and you’ve watched the trailers a few hundred times.

Now, with a mere 13 weeks (!) until we can finally watch the Bella/Edward/Jacob love triangle get even pointier, director Chris Weitz sat down with MTV News for an exclusive chat about his “New Moon” rising.
