As we do every year, we tallied up the most popular movie trailers of ’09, according to video streaming numbers. And it proved to be a big year: the two most popular videos each nabbed over 20 million views. By and large, the top trailers of the year were mostly box-office behemoths, featuring killer robots, sparkly vampires, and airborne senior citizens. One trailer, however, was not for a blockbuster even though it did star Debbie Gibson and Lorenzo Lamas. We listed the top ten trailers of the year below. See if you can figure out which flick of the bunch wasn’t a big hit.
This appears to be a photo from a deleted scene. Looks like the part where Alice and Edward, bring Bella back from Italy. I hope we see more of Rob on the DVD.
For some reason, I missed these photos from Rob’s visit to The Today Show on November 19, 2009. It looks like he was having a good time with the crowd.
First of all I really love the underwater scene. Visually it is one of my favorite scenes of the movie. Chris Weitz mentions the scene to Rolling Stone Magazine.
I also read that you had instructed Kristen to do that scene one way and then got a wet suit on and got into the water yourself and realized it was an impossible way to tackle it.
Rob had done this underwater work in one of the Harry Potter movies, so he was relatively comfortable doing things at the bottom of a pool. In order to get this shot right, we needed to get a top shot of Kristen as Bella sinking down in the ocean. The best way to do that is to have Kristen at the bottom of a 12-foot pool weighted down, just sort of floating there immobile. And Kristen was already expressing a bit of concern about deep water, and I told her, “12 feet isn’t that deep!” [Laughs] I decided to go down there in a wet suit weighted down and I started to panic.
I thought, “Holy crap, this isn’t fun at all!” and realized Rob actually had some guts and that the rest of us should really stay up towards the top of the pool. We adjusted it so we could make our shot sideways and it looks just the same as a top shot. And Kristen had a cold that day, so that was the last thing I was going to do — put someone with a cold at the bottom of a 12-foot pool with weights in their pockets. That didn’t seem like a wise move.
As we enter December, “New Moon” is still riding high at the box office. And although it’s a few weeks until Christmas, that doesn’t mean “Twilight” fans aren’t already dreaming of finding RPattz under their tree.
Well, we’re always willing to start the party a bit early. Today, we present the final installment of an MTV Radio interview with Robert Pattinson, following up on his thoughts about romance and Taylor Lautner’s transformation. Read on for candy-cane-flavored as Spunk Ransom talks fame, fighting Lautner and the danger of romancing a leading lady.
“When asked if Rob had a sister, who would he rather have her date, Edward Cullen or Jacob Black, he laughs and jokes, “Edward’s wealthier!”” — ET Canada
