Remember Me

The wonderful, Larry Carrol of MTV interviewed Rob for his role in, “Remember Me”. Rob dishes on James Dean, being typecast as Edward and the scene that nearly landed him in jail.

By now, you’ve probably watched the “Eclipse” trailer a half-million times, eager to catch every last glimpse of Robert Pattinson. But don’t forget that this weekend brings the chance to see the trailer on the big screen when it plays before showings of RPattz’s new drama “Remember Me.”

Still not enough Rob for you? Well, before you go see the movie this weekend, read on for an interview RPattz did with our friends at MTV Radio. In it, he spills the beans on playing a “Remember Me” rebel without a cause, his reasons for being brooding and wounded in real life, and why people like hitting him.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m now a fan of Robert Pattinson. He was sweet and shy in person, and he had such honest vulnerability.

When I interviewed him for “Remember Me,” we talked about:

*** His involvement with the film (apparently, they offered him “Remember Me” prior to the first “Twilight” — after “Twilight” came out, he could have easily said no to “Remember Me,” but the actor was true to his words, and he really loved the script!)
*** His character, Tyler
*** Working with Ruby Jerins
*** How he identifies with the character

Part Two of the Parade.com interview with Robert Pattinson: ‘I Don’t Remember the Last Time I Asked Someone on a Date’

What he learned from Pierce Brosnan.
“We went out to dinner in a restaurant full of all these guys who looked like bankers or brokers. They didn’t recognize me, but they recognized Pierce. And he said, ‘Notice those people looking over?’ I’m sitting there getting more and more self-conscious, even though I didn’t realize they weren’t looking at me. Suddenly, Pierce got up and introduced himself to everybody in the restaurant. At first I was like, ‘What are you doing? You’re like completely insane.’ But it worked. Everybody just relaxed and stopped staring and you could tell they were going to go home and say, ‘Pierce is such a nice guy.’”

Jeanne Wolf of Parade Magazine recently interviewed Robert Pattinson for his upcoming film, “Remember Me.”

Robert Pattinson is taking a break from his Twilight stardom to play a rebellious New York college student in Remember Me. In the indie flick, the 23-year-old gets to explode with rage, fall in love with a girl (played by Lost’s Emilie de Ravin) and go head-to head with his domineering father (played by Pierce Brosnan).
Parade.com’s Jeanne Wolf found out what Pattinson had in common with his character’s search for identity.

Acting as therapy.
“I try and pick roles that will help me develop as a human being and I think I was going through a similar kind of experience as my character Tyler, which I guess you could call being rebellious. I thought just doing the film would actually help me to think about and discover things that would help me in my life. I was kind of using it as a therapy exercise.”

MSN Talks ‘Remember Me’ and Robert

by Jen on March 8, 2010

‘Remember Me’ lets Pattinson ditch the fangs: ‘Twilight’ star is relieved to play a normal. modern-day human in new film.

Warning: This story contains spoilers regarding the film “Remember Me.”

Edward Cullen may be a world-class brooder, but the actor who portrays him, Robert Pattinson, actually enjoys a good laugh.

Pattinson certainly has much to be happy about these days. His career is red-hot, with the “Twilight” films having made him a multimedia sensation. He hopes his latest picture, “Remember Me,” which opens March 12, continues his career’s upwards trajectory. At the very least, it’s allowed him to do something he’s rarely had a chance to do onscreen: Smile
